Every year, there are more battery-powered mowers on the market, and they have turned from a curiosity to a conventional lawn care option.
The 20-inch GreenWorks G-MAX 40V Twin Force cordless mower looks like a racing car with its angled design and big wheels, and although it looks bulky, it’s easy to maneuver.
The lawnmower is made of a durable polymer that is shockproof and emission-free without connecting it to an electric cable.

The Features and Benefits of Greenworks 25302 20-Inch 40V Twin Force Cordless Lawn Mower
Performance
Greenworks is launching the 25302 Twin Force G-MAX in such an innovative way that it’s difficult to see clearly where lighting can begin.
Two high-capacity (4 Ah) and low-capacity (2 Ah) lithium-ion batteries power the 40-volt system, which drives its twin engines with the tune of an admirable 70-minute cutting time.
To save even more energy, the 42.5-pound lawnmower alone is powered by the 4-Ah battery over a quarter-acre full charge area. This resistance is virtually unknown in battery-powered lawn mowers.
The 2-Ah battery operates on approximately three-quarters of its battery at approximately one-tenth of a hectare. While combining the two fully charged power sources provide enough power for just over an hour of work, inserting two new 4 Ah batteries will extend the cutting window to 90 minutes of maximum cutting power.
Equally impressive is that charging a high capacity battery takes only two hours. You do not need more than 60 minutes to fully activate your smaller counterpart.
Do not let the modest size of the 25302 Twin Force G-MAX fool you. According to the common standards of motorized lawnmowers, a 20-inch platform is not huge. It’s true that I underestimated its maneuverability by cutting close to obstacles and driving through narrow limits, but the 10-inch rear wheels provide excellent traction.
As disappointingly thin as polyethylene covers can often be, the composite construction is uniquely engineered to withstand impacts without breaking. Do yourself a favor and forget your misconceptions about weight loss, which leads to a weak constitution. Greenworks built this baby for eternity.
Easy to operate
Once you have the handle of the 25302 Twin Force G-MAX plugged in and the batteries are inserted, the assembly is ready.
Unfortunately, the handle does not adapt to the height of the user but can be folded together to save storage space.
Rubber grips are a good idea to be light with my hands while maintaining a solid grip, but I found them disappointingly cheap and weak enough to convince me that putting on gloves was not a bad idea.
Like many electric mowers, the Twin Force G-MAX 25302 starts as easy as plugging in the safety plug and pressing a button while you crank the engine with the quick-start crank.
Cutting becomes truly a completely new world for the first time when you hit a particularly dense or deep grassy area, and the phenomenal Smart Cut system increases performance by noting the change in thickness. Suddenly, sections that may require one or two additional passes seem to be measured after only one effort.
Cutting quality
The 25302 Twin Force G-MAX is up to its competitors when exposed to dense and tall grass. Nor does it almost combine the combined power of its two engines to perform excellently when cutting and crossing hills. Of course, since you are powered by electricity, I can not strongly advise you to approach non-wet grass.
Apart from these limitations, all of which apply to varying degrees to electric mowers in general, the precision of their 10-inch double knives can be said to be no less than surgical when applied to dry grass of moderate height.
The smooth cuts of several cut surfaces ensure that your garden is always well-groomed and produces a consistent and healthy result. The six height adjustments of the platform range from about 30 cm in the vicinity and similar to a carpet to about 30 cm luscious.
If you cut off the grass that can grow more than 15 cm, I recommend making the first pass in the highest configuration before switching all four wheels to the lower level of your choice at the same time using the platform’s unique adjustment lever.
As with most engine mowers today, there are three ways to get rid of your waste. The Twin Force G-MAX 25302 flips the cuts effectively and without agglomeration and cuts them so thinly that filling your rigid bag, including its capacity of 2.2 bushels, takes a long time.
Quilting can be a problem because the distance between the two blades does not reduce the cuts to fine particles that I normally prefer to fertilize my lawn, but often repairs them through a second pass.
Comfort and maneuverability
Above the grips of the handle is a layer of foam that dampens vibrations and makes it easy to push the mower even when the safety rest is activated. It does not take much pressure to hold back the bail, so my hands never tire of reaching for it.
However, the foam cover is not very thick and can be easily worn. It would be better if it were made of a stronger material for longer life.
But it seems silly to have to go to extremes in a machine within this budget. Another negative potential is the fact that the height of the handle is not adjustable, so it seems to be too short for taller people or too big for taller people.
The G-MAX lawn mower feels in use very similar to a conventional gas lawn mower. Still, it’s relatively light (42.5 lbs – one person could lift it without help) and very agile.
Part of the relief of the maneuver is the size of the wheels, with larger 10-inch wheels at the rear and 7-inch wheels at the front.
Safety
An important safety feature in lawnmowers is the hard strip on the bottom of the back of the lawnmower. This is to prevent a toe or other object from accidentally cutting through the blades as you move backward.
However, with the Twin Force lawn mower, this strip is a very flexible piece of rubber that protects neither you nor the lawnmower. Here I would have liked a stronger protection device.
This is an electrical device and should not be used in humid climates or in very wet conditions, as there is a risk of unpleasant electric shock.
Wear goggles, sturdy boots and, as with all lawnmowers, though the G-MAX is relatively quiet compared to its gas driven counterpart.
Is it worth Greenworks 25302 to buy?
The 25302 Twin Force G-MAX is not exactly useless against thick, tall, and unruly grass, but I would not call it an “ideal” option if you do not. Do not mind walking on the lawn twice to achieve the desired uniform cut, and you want to buy a very high capacity battery to provide enough cutting power and power for a long day.
Does it impress you absolutely on a relatively flat meadow, without causing the inevitable cost of fuel, oil and spark plugs of a lawnmower? More than likely.
It provides much longer battery life and more power than about 95 percent of the electric mowers I’ve tested, and it pays for itself after about a year. Congratulations, Greenworks.
Final Verdict:
The GreenWorks G-MAX 40V electric lawn mower is an ideal lawn mower for medium to large flat lawns due to its long battery life and maneuverability. If you do not need a self-propelled lawn mower, this is a good wireless lawnmower that you should keep in mind.
