Attaching a grass catcher in a riding lawnmower is so easy and simple process. Let’s have a look at the required tools that will make the task more convenient for you.

Required tools:

  • Bags
  • Tube
  • Brackets
  • Screws
  • Socket wrench

Now follow the steps outlined below to complete the entire task.

Steps to follow:

Step #1: Prepare The Lawn Mower

Take the lawnmower into an even surface and remove the key from the ignition switch.

Step #2: Attach The Bracket Screws

Now, take the screws and use a socket wrench to attach the screws with the mower. These screws basically hold the bracket with the lawnmower. After attaching the screws, place the bracket into the rear of your riding lawnmower.

Step #3: Adjust The Cotter Pin

Bag attachment has a cotter pin and you need to remove the pin. Place the attachment middle of the bracket and insert the large bolts that hold the attachment with the bracket.

When the attachment is lined up, just place the cotter pin back into its previous position. The base of the grass catcher is ready now. Place the bags in the bag attachment.

Step #4: Set Up The Tube

It’s time to set up the tube. The tube has two parts. You need to attach one part with the side discharge of the mower and another part with the grass catcher bag.

Take the lower part of the tube and attach it with the side discharge of the mower. There are two hooks that will help you to attach the part with the mower deck.

Take another part and insert the end edge of the tube in the hole of the grass catcher and attach the front edge with the first tube.

Now your riding mower is ready for clean mowing.

Expanse the brackets with your hands. Now snap the lower hooks of the bag within the snap loops of the bag’s canvas. Snap the upper hooks as well from the upper loop.

Step #3: Set The Bag

Place the bag in the rear discharge area and attach the lower hooks of the bag to the roller notch of the lawnmower. You will find the roller notch at the side of the grass discharge.

Attach the upper hook with the hook grove of the lawnmower handle. Now, adjust the height of the bag and make sure the bag has no connection with the ground.

Place the bag in the side-discharge area and make sure that the bag crosses the plastic objects properly.
